About Ryan Hipson

Master Data Analyst for Clearwater Seafoods LP. I am a Saint Mary's University graduate with a Bachelor's in Computing and Information Systems, as well as an NSCC alumni with a Diploma in Business Administration/Management. I have completed an SAP Service Management work term for the Province of Nova Scotia, and have 6 years of experience in the retail industry at Toys R Us. At Clearwater Seafoods I am involved in maintaining and improving master data governance and processes. This involves working with SAP, SQL, and data modeling tools. I also do business analyst tasks where I work with user stories, practice scrum/agile methodologies, and use automation tools to make company business processes more effective. My SAP Service Management work term allowed me to work with multiple different teams, including the business analyst, project management, systems architecture, and records management teams. My time at NSCC and SMU has provided me with an excellent foundation in both business and technology. Combined with strong interpersonal skills gained from my retail experience, I am able to effectively communicate and problem-solve in both fields.
