I hold an MBA from Montclair State University, and a Bachelor's Degree with Magna cum Laude honors in Business Administration, Marketing, from Ramapo College of New Jersey. I have also earned the CPCU, CRIS, AU-M, AU, AIS, and AINS designations. I possess relevant and practical on-the-job experience across multiple industries, allowing me to better understand loss exposures as well as risk management practices and procedures across different business segments. In an operations management role in the automotive industry, I performed managerial functions - inventory management, scheduling, accounting, logistics and customer relations - but was also heavily involved in sales and in maintenance, service and repair as a technician. I gained significant technical knowledge of OBD-1 and OBD-2 systems, as well as steering, braking, suspension, fuel management, cooling, emissions, exhaust, electrical, starting and charging, HVAC, engine mechanical and body design, as well as general repair and maintenance procedures in gasoline, diesel and hybrid vehicles. In the wood and wood products industry, I performed wholesale sales and marketing functions including the design of marketing and communications materials for laminated, pre-finished, and raw plywood products. Clients ranged in a variety of industries including construction, transportation, furniture, cabinetry, bakery, sortation, audio/musical, staging, die board manufacturing and others. These years of work experience outside of insurance, particularly within the Automotive industry, affords me the ability to better understand opportunities present for Commercial Auto. With my multiline, multi-segment underwriting background, I bring a creative thinking mindset and an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and challenges within the industry to more effectively problem solve in my role.
