Experienced Automotive Engineer with a background in Component D&R, Quality, Safety, Warranty, Compliance, Material handling and Packaging Engineering. Educated to degree level with a First Class Honours from Oxford Brookes University in Automotive Engineering. Current role: Component D&R engineer for Global Puma Diesel engine production. SPOC following a handover from 10 system level component engineers. Key Processes: FMEA analysis, WERS releasing, GD & T reviews, AIMS, DVP, 8D, 6 Sigma & APQP. Ford Motor Company experience using widely recognised quality methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram - Ishikawa, 6 Sigma and FMEA) to investigate, control and correct manufacturing and component quality concerns. Understanding also gained in RDE, WLTP and PEMS during a one-year project throughout the introduction of these new regulations. With the intention to become a Chartered Engineer I have completed one years MPDS reporting with the ImechE whilst at Ford. As well as my experience in Quality Engineering, I also have a keen interest in product design/CAD.I am proficient in the following CAE software:Solidworks, Autodesk AutoCAD - CAD design including static, thermal and fatigue FEA studies as well as Flow Sim CFD studies. Star-CCM+- CFD aerodynamic and fluid flow analysis. MSC Adams - Multi-body dynamics, Formula Student full body transient vehicle simulation.GT-Power - 1D powertrain analysis including NA and turbocharged engines.
