About Ryan Jones

I'm Ryan Jones, a 2-D animator, designer and director. I have worked on a hugely varied collection of projects from children's series, to promotional and music videos, to documentaries and graphic novels - some of which earning Bafta nominations and RTS awards - and have worked for a range of clients including BBC Learning, CBeebies and the Open University. Whether it's been creating a unique look specifically for a given project, or working to someone else's vision, I have adapted to a multitude of different styles and ways of working along the way, leading to me taking on the role as art director on a BBC Learning series, as well directing a series of shorts for YouTube and directing a number of smaller projects - taking them all the way from concept to final delivery, including concepts storyboards, character and background design, animation, editing and sound design, with a continuing passion for illustration and script writing. I have worked closely with clients directly, and having also worked in a number of studios - in teams both big and small, as well as completing projects remotely, I can adapt to whichever requirements a project has and feel that I can fit into any team. I look forward to embracing new challenges and experimenting with different styles, to the sharing of ideas with others and bringing my dedication and passion to any future project.
