About Ryan Klein

Currently I conduct financial risk management and provide capital markets trading oversight; data analytics,investment strategy, crush economics, and risk related financial modeling for Scoular, a leader in agricultural and energy trading space. During my career I have built management experience working with firms trading physical commodities, and in wealth management leading brokerage teams trading futures,equities, options, and forex contracts. I have a deep understanding of regulatory structures guiding the banking, wealth management, and energy trading spaces. I have been at well established firms where reporting was tenured, as well as smaller firms where I had to build out the data analytics reporting capabilities from scratch which has given me significant exposure to data analytics pipelines using SQL, data bricks, data lakes, Microsoft fabric, python, R studios, and output tools: power Bi, Microstrategies, and tableau. Through my experience I have gained insight and built many key reports for markets in traditional equities and debt markets as well as the agricultural, energy, and metals space. Working for an international company, we juggle forex exchange risk, credit risk, and delivery risk here and abroad. I specialize in modeling investment risk and the market mechanics in relation to derivatives trading/ hedging. I obtained degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Doane University, and Masters in Economics at UNO. Formerly Registered and licensed broker dealer.
