About Ryan Kroning

As a Naval Officer I have enjoyed the leadership opportunities that have been presented over the past 14 years. I am currently a UxS Program Manager and have also led men and women as a Maintenance Department Head, Quality Assurance Officer (QAO), Maintenance Division Officer, Communications Officer and Operations Officer. In my previous tour with VR-61 I attained my Airline Transport Pilot certification and hold a B737 type rating. I was able to accrue over 900 flight hours in the B737, multi-engine airplane land. As a US Navy helicopter pilot I completed three deployments, a tour as an Instructor Pilot (IP) and UAS Air Vehicle Operator (AVO)/Mission Commander (MC). I am qualified in the following mission sets: Search and Rescue (SAR), logistics, Special Operation Forces (SOF), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASUW), Personnel Recovery (PR), NVG instructor, NATOPS check pilot, instrument check pilot, standardization pilot, Scan Eagle UAS AVO/MC and Puma AVO. I have flown 1553.5 total hours to include hours as a helicopter pilot and approximately 100 hours as a UAS AVO. I hold a FAA Airline Transport Pilot license with the following endorsements: airplane multiengine land, airplane single engine land, rotorcraft-helicopter, instrument airplane and helicopter, S-70 and FAA part 107 UAS. I also hold a current DoD Tier 5 security clearance.
