About Ryan L.
Ryan Laskowski (Artistic Director, Scenic City Shakespeare) is a native Chattanooga and has been involved in over 300 stage productions ranging from children's plays, rock concerts, improvised musicals, and outdoor productions of Shakespeare. In 2019 Ryan founded Scenic City Shakespeare, recognizing a lifelong dream to bring paid opportunities to the many talented actors and theatre professionals in the Chattanooga Area. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic Ryan developed a totally new production style and coined the term #RemoteTheatre. These original works were recognized in articles, journals, and featured at the Stage on Screen Theatre Festival. Ryan is a graduate of the Holmberg Arts Leadership Institute through ArtsBuild and one of the newest additions to the Lifetime Arts Creative Ageing Teaching Artist roster.
