I am a highly experienced emergency services professional and registered healthcare professional, currently working as a Safety & Clinical Emergency Services Officer at a mining operation in Western NSW. I am the primary point of contact for all matters related to safety, clinical care, and emergency response across both open cut and underground operations.In this role, I lead firefighting and technical rescue operations, including vertical rescue, road crash rescue, confined space rescue, and hazardous materials response. I man the site’s emergency response ambulance, provide 24/7 on-call coverage during rostered swings, and coordinate responses to all site emergencies. I conduct safety inductions, manage access systems, oversee drug and alcohol testing, and play an active role in return-to-work and fitness-for-duty programs.As a Pre-Hospital Nurse and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), I provide clinical oversight and leadership. I liaise with external services such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and State Ambulance for complex medical evacuations and support clinical governance on site. I also deliver regular training to Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, ensuring a high standard of patient care and operational readiness.My responsibilities include auditing and maintaining emergency equipment, managing the on-site medical centre and supplies, participating in risk assessments, and contributing to the development and implementation of the site’s Safety Management System. I work closely with both frontline personnel and leadership to foster a strong culture of safety and preparedness.I also continue to serve as a nurse with St John Ambulance NSW, where I support events and high-risk environments with on-the-ground clinical care and emergency response. This role keeps me closely connected to frontline practice and further strengthens my clinical and operational skill set.Additionally, I worked as a Safety Liaison Officer - Investigations, Fraud & Regulatory Investigations Specialist at Uber, leading detailed investigations into safety and fraud incidents. This sharpened my ability to analyse complex cases and make sound, timely decisions under pressure.With over four years in emergency services and healthcare, I bring a calm, capable, and solutions-focused approach.
