About Ryan Larsen

Ryan is the Process Improvement Throughput ER and Patient Throughput Specialist at the Far West Division for HCA Healthcare. In December 2023, he graduated from BYU with a BS in Economics, and studies in Business, and Healthcare Leadership. While at BYU, he produced an award-winning podcast for the BYU College of Nursing, brought new technologies for the treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis to market, coordinated contract tracing and COVID-19 testing during the pandemic, worked as an EMT for a variety of agencies/organizations, and was the recipient of many merit-based scholarships. Ryan is an avid reader of self-help books and will take recommendations from anyone. He enjoys the academic rigor of economic papers using econometrics to evaluate causality. He loves podcasts, especially How I Built This, Freakonomics, Freakonomics MD, and People I Mostly Admire. He speaks Spanish, loves Latin culture. Ryan loves to work hard and is already planning on working as a Ski Patroller when he retires. He is a runner, hiker, photographer, and backpacker. He looks forward to connecting with anyone who is passionate about solving problems and making world a better place.
