About Ryan Levendale

I have enjoyed a 20 year career in the heavy vehicles industry working with a diverse array of products ranging from double decker buses to tipper trucks to fire engines. Over the course of my career, building from an engineering background, I have gained knowledge and experience of technical consulting and technical sales, import/export and supply chain logistics, person-to-person sales as well as corporate pitching, tender preparation, lobbying product development and management and personnel management. I have had the opportunity to travel and experience the heavy vehicle industry in South Africa, the whole of the Southern African region (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania) as well as travel to and work with colleagues and parent organizations in Sweden, Brazil, Morocco and Singapore. Through my career I have worked in family-owned franchise operations as well as regional headquarters for major international brands utilizing both highly limited and vast resources. In the latter half of my career, personal environmental concerns have guided me into the public transport sphere. During my working life I have developed strong skills in negotiation, the ability to analyse and prioritize tasks, working calmly under pressure and to view customers with an empathetic focus on the people within the organisation. I have relocated with my partner to Ireland in 2021, I hold a Portuguese passport with an Irish PPS number. I would be seeking a position within an eco-conscious, multicultural organization looking to promote and bring to market sustainable products. I would enjoy and prefer working within a small creative team with both a sales and customer success focus.
