About Ryan Lewington

I am an international student from South Africa, Pretoria. I have been in Calgary, Canada since August 2021. I started out in Economics but I did not feel my passion was in it, so I transferred to History. As a History student and as a South African, I am well versed in dozens of cultures from across the world and my mother language Afrikaans gives me some knowledge of Dutch and German. With History I also developed a good analytical skillset and I am skilled in research as well as writing papers and dissertations. I pride myself on a vast understanding of events across the world as well as events that define the modern world. I am also well versed in computer skills ranging from Microsoft to SharePoint. I have a professional demeanour in both email and phone calls while ensuring that clients are always happy with the service I provide. I am also adaptive and a fast learner, being able to pick up new skills very quickly. I always strive to be an asset for whoever I work for and to always perform at my best and the utmost of my ability. Overall my interest lies in Security Policy as well as politics, with the end goal of completing my masters in Strategic Studies at UCalgary's Centre for Military and Strategic Studies.
