What excites me about Growth and Lifecycle Marketing is the way both disciplines connect with people. It's about crafting the right message, delivered at just the right moment, to resonate with someone's social/emotional/logistical needs and wants. But people are also incredibly complex, so it's all a constant adventure of optimization and discovery. It's the ideal mashup of the creative, human side of Marketing with the analytical, data-driven side. Apart from my love of both the human and scientific side of Marketing, though, is the fact that I refuse to settle for a singular specialization. I'm a Jack of all trades; master of quite a few. I know that's not how the saying goes, but saying I'm a "polymath" sounds pretentious.and also, I was told there would be no math. My evolution hasn't been a straight line: developer-turned-technical-marketer-turned-marketing-leader.like some kind of Marketing Platypus (certainly not a unicorn)? But my varied skill set (I didn't even come close to listing all of them) allows me to problem-solve and think across multiple disciplines. I've got "range." And life is better that way.
