About Ryan Locke

I am a Physical Education teacher who also serves as the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Hale County High School in Moundville, AL. I hold an Alabama Teaching Certification in Social Science. I am a 2007 graduate of Troy University in Social Science Education. While at Troy, I was able to work with the football program there as a Student-Assistant with the offensive line. Since graduation, I was blessed to be able to coach college football for eight years, two of those as an offensive coordinator at Cumberland University. While coaching at Cumberland University, I was able to obtain my Masters of Science in Sport and Exercise Pedagogy (Sport Management). In the Spring of 2015, my wife and I decided that we needed to move back closer to our homes in Alabama. I spent one school year (2015-2016) at Northridge High School in Tuscaloosa, AL, 2 schools (2016-2017 & 2017-2018) years at Foley High School in Foley, AL, and 1 year at Tuscaloosa County High School. From 2019-2022, I worked at Etowah High School in Attalla, AL, the last 2 years as the Head Football Coach. I was born and raised in Alexander City, AL, where I attended Benjamin Russell High School. Upon graduating, I attended Central Alabama Community College and began my coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Benjamin Russell.
