About Ryan Luker

I have over 12 years of experience in healthcare and more than 5 years in clinical research, working in roles that combine patient care with clinical trial operations. I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, along with a background in Exercise and Sports Science and Nutrition. I am also a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.A large part of my work focuses on patient education and helping people understand their treatment. I work directly with patients, caregivers, and providers to explain therapies, set expectations, and support adherence, especially with treatments that are complex or new.My experience spans Phase 1 through late phase trials across diabetes, endocrine, and rare disease programs. This includes GLP-1 therapies, insulin-based protocols, CGM and pump-based device studies, and specialty treatments. I supported an Expanded Access Program for hypoparathyroidism, working directly with patients on therapy administration, adherence, safety monitoring, and transition into post approval bridge programs.I have also contributed to studies involving Type 2 diabetes therapies and devices, including co-authoring a published investigational device study. I stay involved in both the clinical and operational sides of research, making sure patients are supported while studies remain organized, compliant, and on track.On the operational side, I helped build and scale a research program that supports multiple active clinical trials. I manage study start up, regulatory work, safety tracking, and day to day execution, keeping studies organized, compliant, and moving forward.Earlier in my career, I worked in hospital and lab settings where things moved fast and accuracy mattered. That experience still shapes how I approach my work, staying focused, paying attention to detail, and handling pressure without losing structure.I am dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of complex work. I value clear communication, strong relationships, and helping patients and care teams navigate complicated systems with confidence.
