I am an interdisciplinary researcher and educator specializing in Business Communication with expertise in rhetorical approaches to professional discourse, workplace communication strategies, and digital literacy. My work centers on creating learning environments where students from all backgrounds can develop essential communication competencies for today's diverse workplace. My research, published in journals including Rhetoric Review and Communication Teacher, explores how communication skills transfer across contexts, the role of generative artificial intelligence in teaching professional writing, and institutional rhetorics in curriculum development. I study the intersections of professional writing and cultural rhetorics to develop approaches that foster innovation and representation in professional settings. As an Assistant Professor at California State University Channel Islands' MVS School of Business and Economics, I teach courses including Business Discourse for the 21st Century Professional and Introduction to Business through Writing. My teaching prioritizes real-world application, rhetorical awareness, and digital communication tools that prepare students for success in global business environments.
