Union Representative employed by IBEW Local 134 handling all aspects of Collective Bargaining for 20 Manufacturing and Construction Agreements covering 25 employers. Dedicated to empowering and educating workers to achieve equity and voice in the workplace. Completed (May ‘25) a Master’s Degree at Penn State University in Human Resources and Employment Relations with concentrations in Collective Bargaining and Labor Law. Cumulative GPA: 3.97. 2022 recipient of the IBEW Founders’ Scholarship. Extensive collective bargaining experience with over seventy agreements negotiated to date. Responsible for all aspects of the collective bargaining process including but not limited to bargaining strategy, bargaining research, drafting proposals, negotiation, ratification, and the editing of agreements. Created a training manual utilized by IBEW Local 134 Business Representatives to navigate the collective bargaining process. Extensive experience in handling contract violation grievances to defend the integrity of negotiated agreements. Extensive experience in handling disciplinary grievances resulting in job reinstatement, reduced discipline, removal of discipline, back pay, and equitable severance agreements. Developed and implemented an online grievance investigation form to improve grievance handling efficiency. Adept at resolving disputes prior to reaching the level of arbitration by utilizing critical thinking and problem solving skills to achieve equitable settlements for all parties. Successful track record as a Union Advocate presenting the Union’s case in arbitration proceedings as 1st chair and assisting as 2nd chair. Extensive experience handling and remedying prevailing wage and project labor agreement violations resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars of back pay for union members. Responsible for training and educating union members and stewards for assigned bargaining units. Acts as a mentor to fellow IBEW Local 134 Business Representatives by sharing accumulated knowledge and expertise to assist these representatives in resolving issues. Proud fourth generation union member with deep roots in the labor movement. Immediate and extended family has a history of union membership in the Ironworkers, Teamsters, AFSCME, United Mineworkers, USW, and IBEW. First union job at 16 years old as a member of the UFCW working at Eagle Foods. Prior member of Teamsters Local 705 while working at UPS. Classified as an IBEW Journeyman Electrician upon completion of the electrical construction apprenticeship program in 2011.
