About Ryan Magee

Through Magee Consulting, I specialize in providing nationally accredited 3rd party OH & S training and certifications. I'm a certified instructor of over 30 nationally accredited OH & S courses (available at I provide stand-by and rescue operations (Confined Space, Low Slope, Rope Access, Avalanche, Swift Water and Mine Rescue) for all industries. In addition, I provide consulting services for OH & S and HSE support for clients across western Canada. The consulting services have provided many clients with solutions to regulatory non-compliance issues. As a way to give back to the community, I offer training to underfunded volunteer fire departments. I have a very expansive list of; certifications experiences, and qualifications. My entire career took a major shift after a horrific workplace incident where I was electrocuted by a high voltage powerline at work in 2010. Since then, I have worked to take advantage of every opportunity to learn new skills. This has lead me to the following unique opportunities- Head up the economics team while in university- Volunteer as a TA and tutor for economics- Trade FOREX, commodities and options with enough success to afford to buy a house- Establish myself as a successful operations manager for a start-up property developer and grew the business from $4 Million to over $30 Million annual revenue within 18 months- Move into the safety industry out of a passion to help others- Achieved instructor level certifications for over 30 nationally accredited OH & S courses- Maintain certifications for rescue operations (Confined Space, Low Slope, High Angle, Swift Water, Avalanche and Mine Rescue)- Start a business focusing on Occupational Health and Safety- Provide serves for underfunded Volunteer fire departments- Start a non-profit to help serve my community and help others in their faith. I'm very involved with my community and have recently founded a non-profit called High Octane Ministries. This organization combines my faith in GOD with my passion for high octane motorsports. We also focus on mens mentorship and decipleship with an emphasis on community building. Recently teaming up with The Lighthouse Project to combine our resources and better serve our community with street outreach work. In addition, I enjoy volunteering with youth and young adults ministries through my church. I don't have a personal family, so I tend to dedicate my extra time and resources to my church, community and clients.
