I am a seasoned attorney based in Montreal (called in QC and ON), who has devoted my practice exclusively to the representation of companies in the area of labour and employment. I am highly regarded for my responsive and practical approach to client needs. My practice covers a spectrum of critical areas, including dismissals, layoffs, workplace health and safety, work-related accidents, employment standards, human rights, and labor relations. My expertise also extends to the meticulous review and preparation of noncompetition, nonsolicitation, and confidentiality agreements. I am also intimately familiar with nonresident employers hiring individuals in Canada or transferring employees to Canada temporarily. Most recently, I have represented- An airport ground services provider in a grievance relating to group termination notice requirements for unionized staff on layoff pursuant to the Canada Labour Code. I successfully fended off the grievance valued at nearly two million dollars and created a case law precedent on the subject matter- A grocery distribution company and grocery chain with respect to three worker’s compensation claims and cost-sharing measures to reduce the client’s financial burden. All three cases were successfully appealed which resulted in over 1 million dollars being removed from the client’s worker’s compensation record- An airport ground services provider in a heated collective bargaining negotiation which garnered national attention as any potential strike action would have shut down an international airport. The stalemate was resolved to the client’s satisfaction without the airport being required to shut down- Numerous nonresident employers in the registration and hiring process of Canadian nationals working remotely for US entities.
