I know what you are thinking, “Taxes? Who in the world would pursue a career in taxes?” Believe me, I may have had a similar thought when I first entertained the idea. The thing is, if you like puzzles and problem solving, tax consulting is a great field. Before Apple and Google created thousands of addictive apps to meet the joy of solving puzzles, tax consulting was there the whole time. Can it be mundane and repetitive? Certainly. But with each project and new client, there is always something unique and workable in applying ever-changing tax law and regulations to ever-changing growing businesses. My specialty is in federal income tax consulting covering a wide variety of services including but not limited to ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes, Federal Income Tax Compliance, ASC 718 Accounting for Share-based Compensation, OneSource Tax Provision Software Implementations, E&P Studies, and Tax Department Outsourcing. I also serve on the Board of the USF Accounting Circle, a nonprofit organization, whose mission is to enhance student professional development and promote student and faculty success through distinctive and impactful opportunities which engage the Tampa Bay business community. I enjoyed graduating from University of South Florida so much, that I decided to do it twice and currently hold two Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, with majors in Accounting (’06) and Finance (‘03). I am a CPA and a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. When not providing federal income tax consulting services, I enjoy reading, especially when it’s raining, and anything related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
