Thank you for your time. I am level 5 carpenter apprentice with Mid-America Carpenter Union Local #1127. I've gained alot of knowledge with the Mid-America Carpenter Training Center. Acquiring certification in construction safety such as OSHA 10, ICRA, and Fall protection. Also gaining experience in Mobile elevating platforms, and interior systems layout. However, my strong work ethic and passion for the construction industry comes from over 20 years of experience working in residential carpentry with my Father doing sub contract work. I have experience in drywall, drywall finishing, wood and metal structural framing, doors & hardware, widows, siding, and more. I also have some experience in plumbing and electrical. My employment with MTC at SPX for 2 years expanded my knowledge in industrial carpentry. Learning to read engineered (BOM) orders, and building industrial HVAC equipment from raw materials on a production line has been a highlight in my career. I'm focused on climbing the career ladder in the CarpentryTrade by working on my Associates in Construction Management at Metropolitan Community College. However, the education is in the field, and I am looking for a contractor who will sign my letter of intent to hire me as a carpenter apprentice, as well, as training in career development in the construction industry. What you will get is a dedicated apprentice who will give a Journeyman level of production and professionalism on the Job site.
