About Ryan Miles

Ryan Miles, pianist, DJ, percussionist, and audio engineer, holds a bachelor's degree in piano performance from Kent State university. He is pursuing a second bachelor's degree at Kent State Stark in music production and audio recording. He has been studying piano since 2006, and his teachers have included his Grandmother Alice Lare of Alliance, Ohio, Gloria Milan of Alliance, Janelle Phinney of Sempre Piano School in Canton, Dr. Jerry Wong of Kent State University, while he currently studies with Dr. Donna Lee at Kent State University. Ryan has been awarded 6 consecutive superior ratings and 2 gold cups from the National Federation Of Music Clubs, and has received Honors With Distinction for Music Theory through the Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program. He is also a recipient of the Calabrese Memorial Scholarship, the Stuhlmiller Scholarship, and the Nancy Samhric Scholarship at Kent State University. ​ Ryan is a frequent performer and has played various venues, most notably The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame And Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, the Sebring Mansion in Sebring, Ohio, the Glamorgan Castle in Alliance, Ohio, and the Grand Floridian Hotel In Walt Disney World Florida. Ryan also plays frequently in his hometown of Alliance, Ohio. He has performed for the Alliance Music Study Club, Kiwanis Pancake Jamboree, Alliance Women's Club, Alliance Farmer's Market, and countless other venues. ​ Under the guidance of Carson Parmenter, owner of Headtrauma Entertainment, Ryan has become an experienced DJ, available for weddings, school dances, and parties. Currently, Ryan is the accompanist for the KSU Men's Chorus, while also accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists, and choirs in Kent and the surrounding area. He is a past member of Delta Omicron, a professional music fraternity on campus. Ryan is available for hire as a solo pianist, accompanist, percussionist, DJ, and Audio Engineer. ​
