About Ryan Mion

I believe I would be a great asset to an organization in the capacity of registered nurse. I have the ambition and drive to be a leader amongst my peers. Upon Graduating, I served on several committees at Holy Name Medical Center. Assisting with Implementing a rapid triage system in the emergency department. Now, Part of Hackensack Meridian Health, I implemented with education department, a rapid response skills day initiative to address the gaps in education for new graduates due to the covid-19 Pandemic. In my previous role as a health educator at Bergen Family Center, I educated about HIV/AIDS across all populations, advocated for testing among high-risk populations, and navigated newly diagnosed individuals to medical care. One of my main achievements was developing the health education program “Condom Sense”, which seeks to confront cultural taboos about condom usage in order to reduce the transmission of HIV/AIDS. During my studies at William Paterson University, I was the president of the Public Health organization on campus and, because of my accomplishments, received the Roslyn Daniel Leadership and Service award from the Honors College at William Paterson. I completed my internship at Holy Name Medical Center. Upon graduating, I was offered a position in Marketing/PR/Community Health at Holy Name.
