About Ryan Moffitt

I currently work full time in a hybrid role as an Occupational Therapist and Associate Hand Therapist. As an Occupational Therapist I primarily work in Vocational Rehabilitation supporting clients with their return to work and rehabilitation needs associated with work occupations. As an Associate Hand Therapist I am assessing, diagnosing and treating all forms of hand and elbow injuries under a variety of Hand Therapy contracts. I completed my Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy in 2020 and went on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Rehabilitation in 2021. I am now working towards my Postgraduate Diploma in Rehabilitation starting July 2023, having more focus on pain management and upper limb rehabilitation. I am also a part time Gymnastics Coach, holding a FIG Level 2 Senior Coaching qualification and coaching athletes in levels 4-9 in the Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Competitive Programme. I am an ex-gymnast myself competing for 14 years up to an international level before retiring in 2019 due to ongoing injuries. I continue to judge Gymnastics as a qualified MAG Senior Advanced Judge, judging up to a National level in difficulty and international level in execution. I am also a member of the New Zealand Men's Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee, holding the role of Athlete Advisor since the beginning of 2022. I occasionally complete stunt/action extra work for Film and TV and engage in training that can include stunt fights, stunt falls, aerial wire work, weapon use and a variety of other trained stunt work. Some stunt work I have completed includes being a stunt double (for the character Pop-Pop) and stunt performer on Power Rangers: Dino Fury in 2021 and working as an action extra on Our Flag Means Death in 2022 among other projects/shows since 2017.
