About Ryan Morasiewicz

Ryan Morasiewicz is an Outdoor/Adventure and Insurance Defense lawyer. He has extensive experience in risk management in the outdoors industry, insurance and injury litigation, health law, class actions, and corporate-commercial litigation. Ryan has significant courtroom experience, both a trial and appeal, including appearing as defence counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada in the leading case on tort law causation, Clements v. Clements. His litigation practice has evolved beyond mere advocacy to include strategic risk analysis to clients in a number of industries. Ryan’s legal peers have named him to the “Best Lawyers in Canada” list for Insurance Law (since 2025 - 2 years running), Personal Injury Litigation (Since 2021 - 6 years running) and Corporate and Commercial Litigation (Since 2020 - 7 years running). Outside of the office, Ryan is a Ground Search Team Leader and helicopter rescue technician with North Shore Rescue, the oldest and busiest volunteer mountain Search and Rescue team in Canada, and together with his German Shepherd, Neiko, was one of only 18 civilian RCMP PDS-validated wilderness K9 search dog teams in British Columbia. He is also a former Director (public representative) of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.
