About Ryan Morcom

For over 25 years, I have worked as a Financial Planner helping business owners, retiring farmers, seniors, and families successfully transition their hard assets into financial ones, while ensuring they keep more of that after tax money in their pocket versus CRA. In addition to my business diploma, I’m also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) and Elder Planning Counselor (EPC). My passion is to help people in Red Deer and the surrounding area understand complex financial issues, assist with retirement planning and ensure they have peace of mind about their investments. My role is to act as a “quarterback”, and work alongside your accountant, your lawyer and to ensure a “carry the ball” approach to your financial planning strategy. As a part of the wealth management process, I personally work with you to ensure we develop a comprehensive strategy for your entire portfolio ensuring taxation issues, cash flow analysis, insurance needs, estate planning are fully coordinated that will help dictate the wealth management approach. My goal is to simplify this process and help you feel confident that your portfolio reflects your personal values and beliefs while meeting your objectives. My wife Carole and I have three growing children. As a parent and proud member of our community, I have been involved with Scouts Canada, coached a variety of minor sports teams, served on corresponding minor league boards and believe in “giving back” having volunteered with the Piper Creek Optimist Club of Red Deer since 2001 having participated in various roles including President and achieving Honour Club status in my year.
