About Ryan Munge

I am an experienced professional with 10 years as an employee of the Product Support & Logistics Division at Caterpillar. My educational background includes bachelor’s degrees in both Supply Chain Management and Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, I received an MBA with a concentration in Business Analytics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in December 2023. My role supporting the Remanufacturing Division at Caterpillar has also given me the unique opportunity to interact directly with our dealer network, both domestically and internationally. This customer-facing aspect of my role has taught me the importance of balancing the competing interests of different business entities while maintaining healthy and productive relationships. It has also provided me with the enriching experience of reaching across language and cultural barriers to achieve common goals. In addition to the tangible results I have achieved at Caterpillar, the completion of my MBA has helped to fuel my passion for knowledge and provided me with the cross-functional business acumen required to succeed in today’s ever-changing environment. With my concentration in business analytics, I have had the opportunity to develop my knowledge of statistical methods, relational database theory, and business intelligence tools such as Excel, Access, Power BI, and SQL. I regard my analytical reasoning skills, alongside my strength in interpersonal communication, as two of my greatest assets as an employee.
