About Ryan Murphy
After 10 years in the hospitality sector, most of them in management, I was ready for a change of career. I always loved seeing businesses growing, employees thriving, and making sure the health check of an organisation was ticking as many boxes as possible. During 2020/2021, I decided to retrain in Human Resources, putting a formal qualification to what I had been doing for years. In mid-2022 I took the plunge and began offering Human Resources and Operational Services to small-medium size businesses, and have seen successful growth ever since. My passions for businesses tie in together. I believe good business requires great employees who are performing at their best, and likewise I believe employees need a healthy business to perform at their best. When it all comes down to it, humans and structures are at the heart of business, and keeping a health check on both is vitally important. For smaller businesses who have their HR and Operations dealt with usually by a business owner, this can be difficult in the multilayered complexities of running and owning a business. Familiar Face exists to come alongside these business owners and assist in those areas, relieving some of the pressure. I specialise in; Business operational consultancy and growth, activation of these ideals, performance management and disciplinaries, employee relation and conflict resolution, and employee well being. I also offer services in organisational compliance, risk assessments, payroll, personalised documentation, employment law guidance. Unlike traditional HR, brought in at the last second to put out an already burning fire, I believe HR should be an ongoing service within a business to be most effective. Whilst I do offer one off services, I encourage on going support packages at affordable and realistic prices for clients.
