I have been in the IT community for more than ten years. My first technical position was as a Cyber Network Specialist for the United States Marine Corps where I supported up to six hundred end users at any given time as a component of the Help Desk ( Tier I ). Soon after I was promoted to a Systems Administrator role and held that position for the remainder of my career which would include multiple field exercises, a long term training event in Latvia, and a year long deployment to South America as part of SPMAGTF-19. After I got out of the Marine Corps I accepted a role at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Network Engineer I, where I was responsible for the configuration, staging, deployment, upgrading, mapping, and management, of over access points on campus as well as all access layer network devices on campus. After three years at Tech, I left to explore an opportunity with Verizon Business Group, where I was first employed as a Engr Cslt-Systems Admin, tasked with supporting over 1500 users around the world and the Dev/QA/Management of our NICE CXone application architecture. After two and a half years I accepted a new role as the Senior Systems Architect for our support environment. I am responsible for designing, planning, developing, documenting, and implementing virtual and physical applications, databases, and server/systems infrastructure in support of general business operations and internal and external customer’s requirements. This includes maintaining hardware, software, and configurations as well as managing migrations, OS builds, and tool development. I coordinate production environment changes with technology operations to maintain a stable environment,work with development teams to test various lab benchmarks for the purpose of determining the best technology combinations, partner with the business, and establishes direct channels with vendors to best determine and carry out requirements. When I am not working on IT, I enjoy making music, and spending time with family.
