We successfully ran SOG for 10 years, enjoying growth every year in business! It was a pleasure learning the industry from a business owner's viewpoint, marketing and networking with vendors and others in the industry, and the customer relationships over the years! After selling my business, my family and I decided to get a fresh start and try a new adventure. We moved to Ireland for a couple of years for a volunteer work. We experienced a refreshing culture, simplified life, and a gorgeous landscape. The decision was one of the best I've made, as it made me a better person and gave me a chance to step back and recognize how much of my children's lives I was missing out on working so much. It became home for us. Although being back in the US, our dream is to return to Ireland one day! Home-brewing has become my 2nd! I've been brewing since 2011, and have never hated a moment of it. I had the opportunity to take the Institute of Brewing and Distilling course while in Ireland, and received my certification after finishing the course.
