I’m the Lead for Alumni Storytelling and Engagement at the University of Calgary, where I get to combine my love of marketing communications and digital content with building meaningful connections. I work with alumni experts to share stories and insights that resonate with our subscriber audience, helping showcase the impact of UCalgary graduates around the world. I take a systems-thinking approach to my work, drawing on systems leadership to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the way we connect with alumni. Over the years, I’ve built deep experience in communications strategy, writing, content creation, digital media, and social storytelling, all with a focus on making messages engaging and memorable. Beyond storytelling, I’m skilled in managing social channels, developing multimedia content, and collaborating across diverse teams to deliver results that align with big-picture goals. With an MBA and a BA, I’ve led projects across industries that blend creativity, strategy, and execution to drive meaningful outcomes. Specialties: Media relations, writing for print, community relations, fundraising, event planning, game night production, promotions, hosting, on-air reporting, social media marketing, database growth, and developing unpaid media opportunities.
