About Ryan Ording

Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I'm Ryan, an engineer with curiosity and a passion for pushing the limits of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE). 🧑‍ I am currently operating as the Lead Corrosion Engineer at Hazen & Sawyer, where I specialize in anti-corrosion solutions for water and wastewater resources. During my time at NC State, I discovered my love for hands-on exploration. My time as an undergraduate researcher engaged me in captivating projects at both NCSU and Texas A&M, which you can explore in detail below. I've even had the privilege of presenting my own project,"Stress-insensitive Capacitance Based on Negative Piezopermittivity," at conference. This hands-on work also extends to my personal life, where I am a woodworker and baker in my free time. Beyond academia and research, I'm proud to have taken on roles that have enriched my skill set. As a successful small-business owner, I have an entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen. Additionally, I was the lead role in my senior project and organized study sessions for my classmates, helping classmates to excel in our classes. When I'm not focused on helping clients, you can find my creative energy on the dance floor, where I groove to Latin and hip-hop music. I'm also an avid bodybuilder - optimal health enhances professional performance and innovation. Let's connect and embark on a journey of collaboration - maybe we share a good meal and dance along the way!
