18+ years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration. 8 years with Pace Industrial (later Gateway Mech.) and over 9 years with Startec Refrigeration services. Now providing product and application technical support for Emerson Canada for their industrial product lines (Vilter). Field service technician for propane and ammonia refrigeration, recreational refrigeration, and gas/oil process, VRU, and booster systems. Regular duties included: routine service inspections at cold storage and food production facilities and ice plant (arena) tri-annual seasonal services, open drive reciprocating compressor inspections and overhauls, open drive screw compressor inspection and overhauls, and system optimizing. Also, performed construction tasks, for both new construction and system upgrade and retrofitting requirements. I was tasked with the oversight of projects, from beginning to end, to collaborate with project managers, sub-contractors, and vendors for successful and on time job completion. I have been both the lead role and assistant tech, in new plant commissioning for various oil and gas projects developed by the Startec Compression and Process division. I became the primary control panel installer for manufacturer compressor package HMI systems. I assisted with scheduling and coordinating of field mechanics for successful completion of work. I regularly took part in safety roles for the development of safety programs, including writing and editing Safe Work Procedures and Job Hazard Analysis. I performed in depth sales quoting and consulting to deliver a range of options to meet client needs.
