About Ryan Parks
While the primary focus of my teaching has been in the areas of Strategy and International Business, my research interests extend into the field of Organizational Studies, with a specific interest in issues of legitimacy and the role of rhetoric in initiating profound institutional change in a variety of empirical contexts. I come from the School of Management at the University of St Andrews in the UK, where I was a Teaching Fellow, the Academic Director of the International Business Masters program and Warden of St Leonard's College. I hold a BA (Honors) in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, a Masters in Management, Economics and Politics and a PhD in Management from the University of St Andrews. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, I led an education advocacy group in Ontario and later ran public and government affairs for a major Canadian industry association.
