About Ryan Pears

Whether writing short stories as a youth, or filming a truly embarrassing Pulp Fiction ripoff in high school, Ryan has always been passionate about telling entertaining stories. After writing and directing two short films while attending BCIT’s Broadcast Television Program, Ryan wrote and produced two commercial spots for magazine publisher B2B Media. He followed this up by writing an animated short film for The Odyssey VFX company and writing the short film Delivery which was showcased at the 2008 Vancouver Asian Film Festival. In 2008 Ryan co-founded Triangle Productions where he co-wrote, co-produced, and co-directed their animated web series Under The HUD which won several awards on the web series festival circuit including Best Animated Series and Best Comedy Series. Ryan also wrote the comedic web series Bronies and has written for Nerd Corps’ hit animated series Slugterra. Most recently Ryan’s short script The Sketchy Truth was produced by Langer Productions and is available online. During the day he can be found at Wildbrain Studios as the Senior Producer on Ninjago: Dragons Rising. At all other hours Ryan is developing his own feature film & television scripts, or writing bios in the third person.
