About Ryan Perez

Currently, I work as an assistant outlets task force manager at the Hyatt Regency Orange County, a 655-room property that often operates at over 90% occupancy. In this fast-paced environment, I deliver high-quality guest service while managing more than 450 daily departures and 400 arrivals. I’m proficient in three PMS systems—Colleague, Opera, and Reserve—and have had the opportunity to train and support new team members during onboarding. I also handle billing inquiries and resolve guest concerns to ensure a seamless experience. Since joining the team, I’ve consistently been a top performer in guest loyalty enrollments, upsells, and name mentions. My long-term goal is to become a General Manager at a full-service hotel, where I can lead high-performing teams and create memorable guest experiences. As an alumni leader at the Collins College of Hospitality Management, I’ve honed strong leadership and communication skills through my roles as a Student Ambassador and Director of Communications for the Hotels, Destinations, Resorts, Professionals (HDRP) Club. I organize club meetings, coordinate off-site property tours, and support students pursuing careers in the lodging industry while maintaining close connections with faculty and our Board of Advisors.
