About Ryan Pericak

I am a process engineer with a passion for improving manufacturing processes through mechanical upgrades, labor efficiencies and efficient planning. I am currently working as an Operations Manager and have led the operations team through start up following a multi-week plant renovation. I have overseen the hiring of new employees, re-defined the process flow of multiple departments and managed day to day process issues. I believe it is important to make data based decisions and have driven projects to ensure accurate and relevant data is collected in a repeatable manner. As a process engineer, I installed a company wide data historian and leveraged the data to support scrap reduction projects and improve company troubleshooting capabilities. These projects yielded savings by greater than $100 / year and increased throughput by as much as 50 %. I have successfully completed a diverse range of projects, some highlights are listed below: • Installation of a multi-million dollar manufacturing line • Prepared training documentation for new equipment and provided hands on training to operators • Performed root cause analysis and identified issues with raw materials. The resolution to this problem improved throughput on a bottleneck process by 25 % • Plant layout drawings using 2D Cad Packages • Prepared project plans for millwrights and electricians for equipment installs with tight time constraints • Decreased city water and compressed air usage across multiple production lines • Programmed HMI’s for 4 plastic extrusion lines • Introduced automation equipment using PLC’s • Designed equipment to improve upon known unsafe work practices I believe it is important to develop strong relationships with equipment operators to understand the issues faced on a day to day basis and to facilitate long lasting improvements. I work closely with operators every day and understand the importance of using their input to create a safer work environment and improve upon product quality.
