Mr. Kelly has taken the idea of supporting employees and delivered a wonderful story to encapsulate the potential up-sides. The Dream Manager describes a company that values their employees as the most valuable assets they have, and focuses on them as such. By spending time with employees on the individual level a Dream Manager can drive increased performance by giving their teams the support needed to reach their own goals. As a contributor and manager this philosophy speaks to me and has shaped much of my leadership style. My professional stance is that companies who focus on people first provide themselves with a sturdy foundation that will carry them through difficult times and drive growth in prosperous ones. Development of the workforce is not a magic bullet that will make a company succeed but it is my belief that lack of development only outlines an eventual downfall.
