About Ryan Persram

I have a PhD in Psychology from Concordia University and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Queen’s University and McGill University. I have over 10 years of research experience in developmental psychology and education. I am either leading or collaborating on various projects, many of which looks at how influential children's and teens' close relationships (i.e, siblings, friends, family) are to their well-being and development. Throughout my education, I have been involved in all aspects of the research process, beginning with idea conception through publication. With this research, I work with diligently with colleagues but am also independent. I use various quantitative and qualitative methods to study these issues and am a strong support of knowledge translation to the community and eventually into policy.
