About Ryan Petitfils
I have 23 years of teaching and tutoring experience in math and science and have worked with students from a variety of backgrounds ranging from elementary school up to adult learners. I am currently a tenured Associate Professor teaching math at Ventura College (VC). I am a member of the Distance Education and College Planning Committees at VC. I am trained in online teaching and am a highly adept user of web conferencing technology such as Zoom. I enjoy teaching at the community college level, especially reaching out to students who typically have had a difficult time succeeding in higher education. Specialties: advising, facilitating, supervising, mentoring, teaching, organizing community events, analytical thinking, computer applications, educational technology, learning management systems, curriculum development, online classes, videoconferencing
