About I’m a civic minded leader who thrives at the intersection of public service, emergency response, and governance innovation. Since 2014, I’ve served as an appointed Local Board Member for Region 2 of the U.S. Selective Service System appointed by President Barack Obama — who's role is to preside over quasi-judicial hearings, interpreting federal statutes, and ensure due process fairness in every deferment decision. My career began in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, where I supported FEMA’s disaster response operations on the Gulf Coast—coordinating logistics and helping my fellow citizens with disaster recovery efforts. I later got my hands dirty with precision as a U.S. Coast Guard–certified Tankerman, managing the safe transfer of dangerous liquids and gases under high pressure. Today, I work for Houston Public Works’ Engineering & Construction Department, designing and facilitating stakeholder engagement campaigns for $500 M+ in critical infrastructure and act as a liaison for elected officials. As an alum of the Houston Citizens Police Academy (Class 65), I bring a neighborhood focused lens to public safety partnerships and community trust building.
