About Ryan Puricelli

I am currently a second year OTD student at Rockhurst University. I decided to pursue Occupational Therapy because of my passion for making a positive impact on others' lives and fostering meaningful connections. I currently work as a Rehabilitation Assistant at Ability KC. Within the dynamic environment of Ability KC, I engage with patients spanning all age groups who face diverse life-altering conditions and accidents—ranging from strokes and spinal cord injuries to traumatic brain injuries and other impairments. This experience has offered me a comprehensive understanding of the challenges patients may encounter as they go through therapy. My professional interests are currently centered around acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient care. Although I have not chosen a specific focus, I am eagerly embracing opportunities to expand my knowledge and gain diverse experiences within the realm of Occupational Therapy. What motivates me most is witnessing the overall progress and well-being of the individuals I work with, combined with the fulfillment of building lasting relationships throughout their rehabilitation journey. As I continue to grow in my career, I remain dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the lives of patients and advancing my expertise in Occupational Therapy.
