About Ryan Richards

Currently serving as a Senior Manager of Operations for WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine's (WMED) simulation center, I support all aspects of simulated training and manage all technical operations for the WMED Simulation Center. In addition to monitoring and implementing educational simulation programs and the technical systems necessary to facilitate effective training, I support program implementation to help achieve WMED’s strategic educational objectives, which I accomplish by providing operational guidance and services. Along with leading daily operations, my responsibilities are hands-on and yet, I remain flexible, adaptable, and vigilant to the needs of the Director of Operations as we work together to ensure the seamless delivery of high-fidelity training. Previously, I acted as a simulation technician, where I provided program-level, simulation-based education and training services to WMED constituents, including community medical and healthcare providers. Acting as a subject matter expert in all aspects of simulated training, I served to better all educational program initiatives, striking the important balance between effective implementation and high performance. I am a passionate instructor, highly collaborative and maintain consistently-high standards, while ensuring my work meets and exceeds expectations. Proving consistent and strong performance in managing complex operational requirements and conflict resolution across a diverse array of stakeholders, I am results-oriented and can function equally well working autonomously or in a team environment, where I can collaborate closely with others to build positive experiences.
