About Ryan Rieth

He is more machine now than man." — Obi-Wan Kenobi, 4ABY. Not actually, but I have always loved technology and its potentiality with regard to how it can change the world. As humans evolve, it seems technology evolves right alongside us — perhaps even more quickly. I strive to be a part of shaping that evolution on a proper path, where a line I code or a device I create does something good. I love to delve into this technology to truly appreciate it and to deeply understand *why* it affects the way it does. Why is there such an intense satisfaction when a computer "just works"; and why do we contemplate throwing it out the window when the internet ever so slightly lags behind its usual pace? Technology, for better or worse, has become such an involved aspect of the human condition and can possess an emotional connection to the human psyche. This is one of many aspects why I am pursuing my passion of software development. I want to *make* technology, plain and simple — and I want to make it right. My best friends and I are connected forever through our video games, an example of constantly bettering technological achievement. We communicate from across the country with our smart phones, which is one of the most prominent examples of technology's evolution. I satisfy my film and photograph passions using this same smartphone and can share these passions with the world via a still somehow ever-growing technological breakthrough that is the internet. I am only one person; I cannot even imagine how many others have ever deeper connections and service from technology. This is why I am driven to employ all of my skills. — A passionate drive — A never-enough hunger for knowledge — Technological savviness from when I was a baby — Leadership and fellowship qualities ("followship" qualities?) — A knack for horrendous dad jokes and bad puns — I tell stories and connect to human spirit — And others. to shape the world through technology and to mark my claim in technology's evolution.
