About Ryan Rochford

I’m a software engineer who enjoys building practical, maintainable software that solves real problems. Professionally, I work primarily in the Microsoft stack, with experience in C#.NET, Angular, and Microsoft SQL Server. I’ve worked across backend services, frontend applications, database design, and the supporting architecture needed to deliver reliable software in real business environments. I’m drawn to clean design, pragmatic engineering decisions, and solutions that are built to last. At the core, I believe the most important strength a developer can have is problem solving. Technologies, frameworks, and tools will always change, but the ability to break down a problem, think objectively, and find a path forward is what makes great engineers effective. I take a lot of pride in being someone who can work through complexity, anticipate issues before they arise, and figure things out when the answer is not immediately obvious. Outside of work, I’m also a hobbyist developer who enjoys building real-world applications for communities and personal projects. That work has included full-stack development with.NET and Angular, along with Dockerized environments, PostgreSQL, and self-hosted infrastructure. Working on projects outside the office keeps my skills sharp and gives me room to explore ideas end to end, from concept to deployment. I’m motivated by software that improves workflows, reduces friction, and gives people better tools to do what they do best.
