I have been working in sports for 11 years. In the last two years I have worked in the athletic department at Southern Illinois University during my senior year, interned in athletic communications at Wofford College and began a 2 year Graduate School Program at Northern Illinois University. I am currently a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Communications department at NIU. I am currently serving as the primary contact for Women’s soccer, Gymnastics and Men’s Tennis. I am also serving as the women’s basketball secondary contact. In this position I also often help out at other sports like football and men’s basketball. At Wofford College I served as the primary contact for Men’s Basketball and Women’s Lacrosse. Before I started working in College Athletics I worked for The Daily Egyptian student newspaper at SIU Carbondale for 2 years. In this time I spent one year as sports editor. In that year I edited, wrote and posted over 100 sports stories and game recaps. While attending Community College at Lincoln Land Community College I worked for the student newspaper, The Lamp. In this role I edited and write dozens of sports stories. Prior to that throughout high school and middle school I worked a few different jobs.
