About Ryan Scott

Since 2012 my wife and I have lived in Seattle endeavoring to start a church from scratch. We started the Refuge Church of Seattle, and are still working to see it grow and flourish. Our passion, together, is to see lives changed for the better and souls saved for eternity through a sold-out relationship with Jesus. My hobbies are wrapped in Entrepreneurship, which God has blessed to help fund our church planting efforts in a very expensive city. These hobbies lead me into a marketing role early in my career. I served as promotions director for two colleges before moving to Seattle. Once in Seattle, I have been marketing manager for a couple of startups before spending almost 8 years as CMO for Lean Labs, a digital marketing agency. I started a side-gig way back when, which entailed a bunch of business ideas. From subscription boxes for ministers (PreacherCrate) to a bunch of ideas that never materialized. I founded a mother company to file all these business ideas under, calling it KonceptGenesis. In 2020, I founded ChurchSetup, helping churches get their worship tech and live streaming upgraded to professional levels. Today, my wife and I still reside in Seattle with our little girl (born in 2021).
