About Ryan Scott

I'm a third year Accounting and Finance student at Aston University, passionate about the world of finance and investing. I have been working at McDonalds for more than 3 years and through hard work, I got promoted to a Crew Trainer role which has allowed me to develop a plethora of transferrable skills that will benefit me in my future career. I have developed strong interpersonal skills due to working with a large diverse team and dealing with customers. In this role, I support managers in running the restaurant smoothly and keeping staff composed during the fast-paced work that was experienced. Furthermore, I now have the ability to train new staff which I enjoy as I get to build strong connections with them and supervise them as they progress. Outside of work, I am interested in investing where I partake in research in order to find profitable companies that may be investment opportunities for me. I also play for a cricket team on the weekends which has aided me in gaining strong teamworking skills. Even during stressful situations we maintain comradery and work towards our common goal. During my junior years of playing I captained the team for a year which was as a great opportunity to mature my communication and decision-making skills.
