I am a recent graduate of Mount Saint Mary's University, where I completed my degree in Cybersecurity with a minor in Accounting, graduating with Cum Laude honors. I hold the CC (Certified in Cybersecurity) certification, which further enhances my expertise in the field. Currently, I work as a consultant staff member in the Risk Management area at SC & H Group, a prominent accounting firm based in Sparks, Maryland. My role involves leveraging my knowledge in cybersecurity and accounting to provide valuable insights and strategies to clients, helping them mitigate risks and protect their sensitive information. Working with a talented team, I identify vulnerabilities, develop robust security protocols, and implement effective risk management measures. Prior to joining SC & H Group, I gained experience as a student technician in my university's IT department, where I assisted students, staff, and faculty with various IT issues. This role allowed me to hone my problem-solving skills and provide excellent customer service, ensuring a smooth technology environment on campus. In 2022, I interned as a technology audit intern at Verizon, contributing to an internal audit of a cloud application. I collaborated with cross-functional teams and presented audit findings to senior management within the Verizon Internal Audit structure. This experience deepened my understanding of corporate auditing practices and the importance of strong cybersecurity controls. With a passion for cybersecurity and attention to detail, I stay updated with industry trends and emerging threats. By continuously expanding my knowledge and skills, I aim to contribute to the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, assisting organizations in proactively managing risks and safeguarding their critical assets.
