About Ryan Southey

I am constantly developing my knowledge and experience in the sport industry as I study my bachelors degree in sport and exercise science. I am joining linkedin to try gain knowledge from others and share mine with you all. For 4 months I was an intern as a sports testing assistant this was a scheme ran by Suffolk New College with the Hub Sport at the University of Suffolk. It was a group internship role where we would observe athlete testing, and help set up and pack away equipment. We also helped go through the data and create plans on how the athletes could improve the components of fitness being tested. I have had experience working with children when I was a temporary nursery assistant This was a requirement my High School implemented, and I chose to work at the Nursery I attended when I was young. This is where I discovered my enjoyment of working with children. On an average day I was expected to lead the children through basic tasks like reading, cooking, and sometimes how to ride a bike. While I was working there they had their sports day which I was in charge of planning and running. The day went perfectly which proved to me that my management and leadership skills are good.
