About Ryan Sparzak

Ryan has a strong and diverse background in education. He received a Master of Science Degree in School Leadership from Mercy College, and a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Wheelock College’s Urban Teacher Program. He was the founding teacher/leader of two high performing start-up K-12 charter schools—Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy and the Denver School of Science and Technology—and spent much of his early career working to improve education for children living in underserved areas. In fact, his efforts are featured in the book, “Whatever it Takes: Geoffrey Canada's Quest to Change Harlem and America.” More recently, Ryan has served as the VP of Sales/Educational Programs for Global Travel Alliance, collaborating with educational partners to write and implement high-quality trip-based curricula aligned to government and school standards, which included building partnerships with vendors across the US, Europe, Africa, and Central America. While in this role, he also served as the Director of the non-profit, Global Doing Good, where he handled grant writing, program development, and communication of outcomes to donors. He briefly has pivoted to a new role with Med-IQ as a Director of Educational Grant Development, and immersed himself in Continuing Medical Education - learning this incredible industry and applying his past experience in education, and business development to advance Med-IQ's vision of "better healthcare for all". Ryan’s hobby and passion is the art, practice and science of preparing food, and refers to himself as a “hobby chef". He operates an account on instagram under the handle Cookery Inquieto.
